Reticulon 4 receptor, also known as RTN4R, Nogo receptor, Nogo-66 receptor, NgR, NOGOR and NGR, is a glycosylphosphoinositol (GPI)-anchored protein that belongs to the Nogo recptor family. Human RTN4R is expressed predominantly in neurons and their axons in the central nervous systems. As a receptor for myelin-derived proteins Nogo, myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (OMG), RTN4R mediates axonal growth inhibition and may play a role in regulating axonal regeneration and plasticity in the adult central nervous system. RTN4R may be proposed as a potential drug target for treatment of various neurological conditions. Additionally, RTN4R may play a role in regulating the function of the gap junctions.

Novoprotein Recombinant Human Nogo Receptor/NgR produced by mammalian cells expression system.Target protein is expressed with sequence (Cys27-Ser447) of Human ngr (Uniprot #Q9BZR6) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

·Quality Control

Purity: Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
 

Endotoxin:Less than 0.1ng/μg (1EU/μg) of Nogo Receptor/NgR (Human)

·Formulation
  Novoprotein Recombinant Human RTN4R was lyophilized at 1mg/ml in 20mM PBS.

·Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution of Novoprotein Recombinant Human RTN4R in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to working solutions.

·Storage
Lyophilized Recombinant Human RTN4R although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant Human RTN4R should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use.
