The serpin peptidase inhibitor, clade A, member 6 (SerpinA6), also known as Corticosteroid-binding globulin錛孋BG and Transcortin, belongs to the Serine Protease Inhibitors superfamily. SerpinA6 is synthesized in liver and has also been identified in a number of glycocorticoid responsive cells. SerpinA6 has an alpha-globulin protein with corticosteroid-binding properties. It is the major transport protein for glucocorticoids and progestins in the blood of most vertebrates. Defects in SERPINA6 are a cause of corticosteroid-binding globulin deficiency which is an extremely rare hereditary disorder characterized by reduced corticosteroid-binding capacity with normal or low plasma corticosteroid-binding globulin concentration, and normal or low basal cortisol levels associated with hypo/hypertension and muscle fatigue.

Novoprotein Recombinant Human Serpin A6 produced by mammalian cells expression system.Target protein is expressed with sequence (Met23-Val405) of Human serpin a6 (Uniprot #P08185) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

·Quality Control

Purity: Greater than 90.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

·Formulation
  Novoprotein Recombinant Human SERPIN A6 was lyophilized at 1mg/ml in 20mM PBS.

·Reconstitution
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution of Novoprotein Recombinant Human SERPIN A6 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to working solutions.

·Storage
Lyophilized Recombinant Human SERPIN A6 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant Human SERPIN A6 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use.
