Cysteine (a non-essential amino acid) is a building block of antioxidant glutathione. With a thiol side chain, cysteine is an important structural and functional component of many proteins and enzymes.

- for reconstitution add 50 µl of sterile water and 50 µl of glycerol

store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.

Cross-reactivity ratios were evaluated by competitive ELISA: a ratio of 1/1000 means that 1000 times higher concentration of immunogen is needed to switch off the specific signal by half.
